No. ThreadsSaver runs in your browser on any device. If you want extra features like history and background downloads, the Threader Android app is optional.

No. Media is fetched from Meta’s content servers and passed straight to you. We don’t permanently host or store downloaded media; any edge caching is transient.

Occasionally the platform doesn’t return the media to our servers (for example, a temporary region block). Try again shortly, or use the Threader Android app, which downloads from your own device and works when the website can’t.

Downloading for personal use, or saving content you own or have permission to use, is generally fine. Re-uploading or distributing someone else’s content without permission may infringe their copyright. You are responsible for how you use downloaded content.

Yes, the website works in Safari and other browsers on iOS. Because of iOS restrictions, some videos may open in a new tab — long-press and choose Save.

The website is instant and installs nothing. The Threader app downloads from your device’s own connection, so it’s faster, has no shared limits, keeps a history and works in every region.

Make sure you copied the link to a specific post (it contains /post/ or /t/), not a profile or search page, and that the post is public.
